summer

The interminable burden of summer classes has kept me from 1)finishing anything and 2)posting anything. I almost feel like I get more done during the school year, not to say that the delicious prospect of early graduation isn't just that or that the classes weren't a choice and pretty awesome unto themselves. This is an old image I made, freshman year, collage on a piece of cardboard with gel medium and ink, I believe.

Also, This has been my main focus recently, writing about and uploading portions of my found photo collection as the ongoing final project for an art history class I'm taking.

WSRA

field recording

WSARA radio tower

crummy composited radio desk scan

geese flying so east

falling feathers

stonehenge

I've had a tremendous amount of free time lately, I started drawing a comic about a radio station broadcast from my mind.

Haiku

Two haiku poems i found in an old notebook of mine:

Still it's good to know:

The geese will fly so east,
past smoldering night cities and
hours left to go

I just felt so blue
and start to singing to the
muddy river flow

tractors and claws

I saw this sitting out on Emily's and my dining room table. I don't have film in my camera so I took this picture with my laptop (derp).

empty nest

Consider this a tag for a better idea, my voice is maybe too midwestern and the image is just unclear enough but:

From a class project, everyone gave each other a piece (I got a series of photographs, among other things) that we had to make a new piece out of. I like to think of this dreadful looking kid:

as somebody's beloved son.
