Laundry Day

Laundry Day will be the name of my new mini-space, it'll function as a store, a museum, a gallery, a library, respectively. I've got a bunch of ideas. Above is the banner and some in progress shots of it in my messy apartment. I'm interested in just what it takes to designate a space, or why that designation is important. What makes a room, the sign, the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the fact that someone is in it?
